The quality alfalfa flour contains about 50% cell wall with a very balanced fiber composition, on average it contains 8% pectins, 10% hemicelluloses, 25% cellulose and between 7 and 8 % lignin, this ensures an excellent level of soluble fiber which is optimal for calves in the state of ruminal development.

The portion of insoluble fiber in the pressed alfalfa flour encourages rumination, which leads to the production of sodium bicarbonate in salivation and better development of ruminal flora at an early age.
